About our Founder

Melanie Ventura, Founder and Leader of The Resilience Company, has experienced numerous ups and downs throughout her life. From childhood through young adulthood, these challenges resulted in ongoing anxiety and loneliness. When she became a mom, her life became even more demanding, with increasing responsibilities that began to weigh on her, leaving her with constant feelings of fear, anxiety, stress, and burnout.

In November 2021, her brother Bruce, age 36, tragically took his own life. This was the tipping point that led to all-consuming grief. Grief that brought about confusion, disorientation, panic, depression, vertigo, sleeplessness, loss of appetite, and many other symptoms that persisted 24/7 for a grueling 12 months. Melanie needed a way out. She had a young family to raise, a business to manage, and a full life ahead of her.

So, she embarked on a slow, 12-month journey through pain, heartache, and anxiety. During this time, with a lot of help from others and a growing reliance on God, she learned the very principles she now teaches in the 5-Step Resilience Roadmap. This roadmap became her guiding light, allowing her to navigate, process and emerge on the other side, more resilient and enthusiastic about the vibrant future ahead.

Melanie knows that when life throws another curveball, she can rely on this framework to navigate and heal once again. But this time with more clarity and confidence.

"The year following my brother’s death was the hardest in my life. However, I've managed to reach the other side. Now, I believe that grief and joy can coexist. I'll never forget my past or my brother Bruce, but I won't let that pain and grief hold me back from the life I want to live—and the life I know he wants me to live. I believe YOU can also get through anything, and enjoy the life you want to lead. You’re not alone. We're in this together. Remember, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you."
